2021 without Interbancario
Almost a whole year has now passed since our last anniversary Interbancario in the glistening sunshine in Carezza / Dolomites. Much has changed for all of us since then because of the Corona virus, including skiing. Most of us are still waiting to be able to draw the first turns in the snow or make the first laps in the cross-country tracks this winter.
We are approaching a new year 2021 without our highlight, as we can confidently call our Interbancario. But we can already look forward to the 61st SKI MEETING INTERBANCARIO EUROPEO in January 2022.
Merry Christmas and best wishes for a happy new year 2021.
Farewell to Brede Havneraas

Only a short time after our 60th Ski Meeting Interbancario Europeo 2020 in Carezza, we received particularly sad news. Our friend and active member of the Standing Committee, Brede Havneraas, has passed away.
Since 2017 Brede was a member of the Standing Committee. As leader of the Nordea Sports Association from 2007 to 2015 and as a member of the Board of Nordea's "Olympics", he brought a wealth of experience in the management, organisation and development of major events.
In our Committee, Brede was our expert for the cross-country skiing competitions, among other things. At the 60th Ski Meeting Interbancario Europeo 2020 in Carezza, he also participated successfully in all cross-country skiing competitions with great commitment and enthusiasm.
His ideas, his innovative proposals and his interesting and thoughtful contributions to discussions enriched our work. Brede was a man of fine character. He had a friendly and winning manner and was always in a contagious good mood.
Brede died of a heart attack on 07 February 2020 while cross-country skiing in the Telemark in southern Norway. He was 63 years old.
We wish his family much strength to overcome the great sorrow. Brede will always be remembered as a friend with a big heart and an open mind.

A great Interbancario 2020

Carezza has presented itself from its best side: wonderful winter days with a bright sun on a cloudless sky in a breathtaking landscape, perfectly prepared slopes, perfectly organized cross-country skiing, giant slalom and snowboard competitions and friendly people. In short, we were able to enjoy a great Interbancario Week 2020 that will be still remembered for a long time.
We would therefore like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
The entire Organising Committee o Carezza, with Georg Eisath at the chair and Maria Gufler as successful coordinator, did a great job. The team in the race office (Tina, Susi, Anna, Philipp and many others) had an answer to all concerns and questions. The cross-country races were of course dominated by the impressive scenery of the Rosengarten and Latemar and were handled in an exemplary manner by Michel Rainer and his team with Martin Schwingshackl, Bruno Barcatta and Alois Nagler. At the alpine ski and snowboard races a course perfectly flagged out by Cinzia Valt Dejori awaited us. Jürgen Pardeller and his team with Georg Eisath, Enrico Da Rin, Andreas Obkircher and Werner Ranigler made sure that the many races ran perfectly.
Robert Seehafer made sure that the results of the races were published in the correct format on our homepage in the shortest possible time.
Florian Eisath and Werner Heel have set a unique highlight with their professional training session. To both former world-class athletes we would like to say a heartfelt thank you.
We will not forget the evenings in the marquee with the many atmospheric interludes of Blue Folks, the Schuhplattlergruppe Welschnofen and the Männergesangsverein Welschnofen. The moderators Tanja Branzanic and Carlo Emanuel Esposito not only commented on the races during the day, but also led us through the evenings and together with DJ Bax really heated us all up. The showcase in the marquee with historical exhibits was a real eye-catcher. We thank Erika Prohaczka and Cesare Somenzi for the borrowed objects.
But especially we would like to thank all team leaders and all participants of this anniversary event. After all, you and your enthusiasm have ensured that we can look back on a memorable Interbancario 2020. We wish a speedy and complete recovery to those participants who were injured during the Interbancario week.
We look forward to seeing you all again in Kranjska Gora in January 2021.
